Typefaces
Script is ornate and connected, it appears handwritten and looks as if it may be crafted with brush strokes in the second example.
Serif is the common font style for essays and Word files, in fact the first example: "Times New Roman", is Microsoft Word's default. They can be identified by the feet on the lettering.
Sans-Serif is simple, informative, and universal. The letters alone don't tell you the emotion of the document displayed, and frankly, they shouldn't have to. These fonts are the ultimate in Modernism.
Display type faces are meant to exude adjectives which define what the text represents. Infinitely variable and valuable, display fonts set the tone for whatever it represents.
